Revised Guidelines enter into force
Today, February 1, the first part of EUIPO’s revised Guidelines for Examination of European Union Trade Marks and Registered Community Designs for 2017 enters into force.
The Guidelines have been thoroughly updated with case law from the Court of Justice of the European Union, the case law of EUIPO’s Boards of Appeal and the outcome of the Convergence Programmes.
The main changes implemented in the Guidelines are summarised in an article published in the December edition of Alicante News.
On 10 January the changes to the Guidelines were also discussed during a webinar.
