Non‑Working Days at the International Bureau and Publication Schedule at the End of this Year
The non‑working days at the International Bureau (IB) during December 2017 and January 2018, in addition to the weekends, will be:
Monday, 25 December 2017
Friday, 29 December 2017 and
Monday, 1 January 2018
It will therefore be open for business from Tuesday, 26 December to Thursday, 28 December 2017, and will then be open as usual from Tuesday, 2 January 2018.
The dates of operation of the PCT Information Service and the PCT eServices Help Desk, as well as information on the publication schedule, are given below.
PCT Information Service
The PCT Information Service will be closed from Monday, 25 December 2017 to Monday, 1 January 2018, inclusive. It will reopen on Tuesday, 2 January 2018 at 9:00 (Central European time (CET)).
Please note, however, that if you call the PCT Information Service (telephone number: (+41‑22) 338 83 38) during the holiday period, there will be a recorded message providing a telephone number for cases requiring urgent attention. It is recalled that the PCT Information Service answers general inquiries about the filing of international applications and the procedure to be followed during the international phase of the PCT (questions relating to specific applications should be addressed to the PCT Processing Service). PCT eServices Help Desk
The schedule for the PCT eServices Help Desk during the end‑of‑year holiday period will be as follows:
Monday, 25 December 2017: closed
Tuesday, 26 December 2017 to
Thursday, 28 December 2017: open as usual, from 9:00 to 18:00 CET
Friday, 29 December 2017 to
Monday 1 January 2018: closed
Tuesday, 2 January 2018, onwards: open as usual, from 9:00 to 18:00 CET
It is recalled that the PCT eServices Help Desk responds to inquiries related to services for the purpose of preparing, filing and managing applications electronically: ePCT (https://pct.wipo.int), PCT‑SAFE (http://www.wipo.int/pct-safe/en/index.html), WIPO digital certificates and Digital Access Service (DAS) (http://www.wipo.int/das/en/).
Publication schedule
During the forthcoming holiday period, there will be no changes to the publication schedule for PCT applications. They will be published, as usual, on Thursdays (that is, on Thursday, 28 December 2017 and Thursday, 4 January 2018), and there will be no change to the deadlines for receipt of changes which should be taken into account for the purposes of international publication (which will be at midnight (CET) on, respectively, Tuesday, 12 December 2017 and Tuesday, 19 December 2017).
