Impact of the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the EU – EUTMs and RCDs
EUIPO has prepared a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document on EU trade marks and registered Community designs in the context of the notification of the intention of the United Kingdom to withdraw from the European Union.
The Q&A document is in line with the Commission’s recommendations and published for information purposes only.
This document complements the Notice to stakeholders of EU trade marks and registered Community Designs published by the Commission and made available on EUIPO’s website on 5 December 2017. A revised version of this Notice was released by the Commission on 22 January 2018 and is republished here.
The Notice and Q&A correspond to a potential scenario in which no agreement is reached by the negotiating parties. The contents of these documents are in no way prejudicial to any settlement or arrangement that may be agreed between the negotiating parties.
