Intellectual Ventures I LLC v. T-Mobile USA, Inc., 17-2434

Reinstated a patent infringement claim upon finding that the district court’s grant of summary judgment resulted from an erroneous claim construction. The patentee accused several telecommunications companies of infringing its patent for an application-aware resource allocator. On appeal, the Federal Circuit agreed with the patentee that the district court construed the patent incorrectly. The panel vacated in relevant part and remanded.
