Can you believe that, this coming June, The IPKat will turn … 20?!
It’s really true that time does fly when you’re having (IP) fun!
Launched in June 2003 as a teaching aid for IP law students in London, The IPKat’s blog has become a popular source of material, comment, and amusement for IP owners, practitioners, judges, students, and administrators ever since. Dozens of IP enthusiasts have graced the space of the Blog over the past two decades with their reports and commentaries on “IP News and Fun”. Today, The IPKat Team – PermaKats, SpecialKats, GuestKats, InternKats – consists of a group of contributors that is very diverse, whether because of their background, geographic origin, interests or seniority in the IP profession.
As we previously announced, we invite our readers to join us in London (generously hosted at the headquarters of Allen&Overy) or online on Thursday, 8 June 2023.
We will celebrate both this extraordinary anniversary and the upcoming release of the book Developments and Directions in Intellectual Property. Twenty Years of The IPKat (Oxford University Press, 2023). Edited by Hayleigh Bosher and Eleonora Rosati, this book brings together – once again – several past and present IPKat Team members, as well as many eminent Katfriends, who have all contributed chapters on several different aspects of IP.
