G-IPTech Centre Inauguration

Queen’s University Belfast will be launching its Global Intellectual Property and Technology (G-IPTech) Centre on June 5. The event will feature panels on globalisation, sustainability, creative economy, and fundamental rights. The Biotechnology Directive at 25 conference – deadline extended for call for papers

Maynooth University will host a two-day conference on the Biotechnology Directive at 25 on Sep 14 and 15. The organisers welcome proposals regarding the EU’s Biotechnology Directive 98/44EC, which has had a radical impact on the patentability of biotechnological inventions across Europe, with important legal, ethical, and social implications for the access, development and use of new technologies. To submit a proposal for a presentation, applicants must submit an abstract of 500 words (maximum) to [email protected]. The deadline has been extended to 5pm on 16 May 2023.
