Additional measures now operational for visitors in the Isar building Munich and in The Hague

The safeguarding of staff, visitors and business is of paramount importance to the EPO. The Office has therefore undertaken external security audits to identify any measures that are needed to respond effectively to the current security situation in Europe and to fulfil its duty of care to all staff. Following these audits, the EPO has developed a consolidated and updated physical security concept to effectively protect its staff and visitors, and also all its property and intangible assets.

A range of measures are now being implemented to help ensure our safety, among which is the more stringent control of persons entering the building. Additional security measures are now in place for all visitors.

As a result of these additional measures, the time needed for visitors to enter into these buildings might take slightly more time than in the past. We regret any inconvenience this new measure may cause and hope for your understanding that security needs to be a high priority in the common interest of EPO visitors and staff alike.
